I will save it for the end of the blog - as there is a lot of catching up to do.
Augie is officially eating real food. Bananas and pears are a first choice for him. Squash is another favorite. Peas - not so much.
Funny faces all the way around!
We're also learning how to drive! (Not really - we were just waiting for Daddy to get out of work and needed something to do.)
We walked 5 miles for the March of Dimes on Saturday's March for Babies! It was very reinvigorating after being so careful for so long (through the pregnancy and recovery period after). It's at least a FUN starting point - we're working up to our 10k - slowly!
As soon as the walk was over, we jumped in the car and headed to Temple for Nico's confirmation (no pictures- oops) and Alexa's first Birthday. We were ready to party!
And so was Alexa!
What a great birthday she had (sunglasses courtesy of Gus and I, Tinkerbell 4 wheeler courtesy of PawPaw)! She definitely learned quickly how to make that thing GO!
And exhausted after all that partying!
Story that goes with this picture . . . When we played soccer in high school, Nico was soooooo cute! He was always ready to help, and was quickly recruited to be the team's "ball boy!" He was famous - even made the paper after one of the team mom's had a special shirt made for him.
Continuing to present day, it was cold outside on Sunday (although the forecast said it should have been in the 70s) and we were unprepared for Augie to have warm clothes. Pops (my dad), had the "perfect idea." Hence Nico's old sweatshirt! It was adorable - and covered all of him except those feet and his head of course. Kept him warm for a good long nap too!!!
AND THE FINALE OF THE WEEKEND . . . AFTER TRYING (AND FAILING TO BE QUICK ENOUGH TO CATCH HIM) OUR HANDSOME LITTLE MAN ROLLED OVER FOR US WHEN THE CAMERA WAS READY AND ROLLING TOO . . .
AND THE WAIT WAS WORTH IT . . . WE CAUGHT HIM DO A DOUBLE ROLL!!!
WATCH HIM GO!
Oh MY goodness I want to squeeze him all over. He is seriously precious...I LOVE the picture in the sweatshirt and the video really made me smile. Love being able to keep up with your sweet family from miles away!
