Easter Fun

What an amazing Easter! We were all spoiled this weekend . . . with sweets (ahhhhhh), family, and love.

Augie received "a few" Easter gifts!

One basket from Poppy & Mimi:

With a SUPER CUTE personalized bib!

And a bucket from Daddy & Mommy (only with necessities of course):

We also received a family gift set from Grandma 'Raine - SUCH A GREAT SET OF BOXES (we're still working on the goodies that were hidden inside):

And the gift that was uncomparable to others . . . a BLUE CHICK from Aunt Marci, Uncle John, Elena, and Alexa!!! We initially thought they were kidding - turns out they weren't.

Elena got a PINK ONE - Spar-kl-y (she says the syllables very carefully).

Alexa got a GREEN ONE - Jel-ly Bean (name courtesy of Elena also).

And Augie - BLUE FOR BOYS - Boomer (because he received the movie "The Fox and The Hound" for Easter, and there's a bird on there named Boomer)!

Augie didn't quite know what to do with his.
(Jess - notice the burp rag on my shoulder! It gets lots of compliments - and use! THANKS AGAIN!!!)

It was a wonderful, one of a kind, great gift that will always be remembered.
AND - Aunt Marci and Uncle John will be keeping them all together for us.
What a colorful group - literally!!!

Saturday was spent at Marci and John's BEAUTIFUL, RECENTLY FINISHED, NEW HOUSE! We got to meet new baby Kash (son of a family friend), eat delicious food, and have an egg hunt.

I think Augie's cousins got more out of it - for this year. Next year, I'm guessing he'll be sprinting around with them!!!

We finished off the evening by spending some time with Pops and Grandma before bed. Pops was really funny:

I know it's short - my camera card filled up and cut it off, but Augie laughed for almost 2 minutes straight!!! It was hillarious.

The next day was Easter, and we had MORE celebrating to take care of . . .
First things first - time to celebrate the reason for the season - Our Lord and his great sacrifice.

Mass was nice (what I got to hear). Augie was a little loud, and I had to retreat to the back of the church to try to soothe his cries and not distract others. I'm glad we did though. He was fussy for the next 30 minutes. Then he knocked out HARD for the rest of the mass - and was just plain heavy weight in my arms for the remainder of the celebration.

Then back to Pops and Grandma's for more food, fun, and egg hunting!!!

I think I covered everything - I was/am still exhausted from the welcomed chaos of traveling to be with family! There is nothing that can replace the time spent with them!!!

What an amazing, amazing weekend!

Dear Lord,
Thank You for all that you sacrificed for us to be able to enjoy so fully your creations of life and love here on earth. Please continue to bless us and teach us to appreciate the blessings we have and receive daily. Let us ba a light for those that do not yet see You.
Amen.
