Spring Fever - Part II

We enjoyed lots of time outdoors. And REALLY enjoyed it!!!
"Outside!!!"

Rocks are fun!

"I've seen Dad do this. How does it work again?"

Trying out sitting on the tricycle - vs. our old way of just pushing it around.

This was such an amazing day for Augie - he absolutely LOVES to be outside!!!

Something else that we learned he loves . . . POPSICLES!!!

Especially when the popsicle is Daddy's!

And then we can share!

But we also learned that popsicles can give us a brain freeze!

What a great Spring Break!!!
Now we just have to count down for the next 2 weeks until our lives change once again!!!
15 days to go - unless Anthony decides to come earlier!!!

Spring Fever!!!

What a great Spring Break! Augie and I have thoroughly enjoyed our time together. We have LOTS of pictures to show for it too!!!

We got some "crocs" so that we can help Mom and Dad with our Spring gardening tasks.
Show me your shoes Aug!

We enjoyed St.Patty's Day together - Mom and Dad got a picture while Bubby was sleeping . . .

And Augie took his picture when he woke up . . .

We even had our friends over - Lisa and Luke! It all started out great - the boys were playing together together, and nicely.

They shared some snacks.

And then my son showed his true colors . . . to my embarrasment . . . I learned . . . my son is a BULLY! He has a lot to learn about sharing. He also has a lot to learn about the proper way to play with others - for example - DON'T SIT ON THEM!!!

I can't even begin to tell you how this moment came about. Luke fell, Augie looked over at him, and with a HUGE grin on his face, looked at me (with a look that said, "watch this Mom!"), and then sat down on Luke and proceeded to laugh at himself.
It probably didn't help that we laughed too - but the moment was just something out of a story book.

And that was just a couple of the days - part II to come!

Mommy of 1?!

Ok, I have a picture of just me and Augie up!
I usually try to have a family picture up or one with a family feel (like the tummy and Augie hands).

But, for right now, I am enjoying my last 3 weeks as a mother of 1 - and he is a wonderful 1!!!

So, here's to my week with Augie!

And let the countdown begin!
3 weeks - 21 days - to my scheduled C-section! April 4th - here we come!

Spring Break!!!

Yay for Spring Break, and yay for being a teacher.

I know that there's talk of budget cuts, etc. I won't go there.

For today, I am just going to talk about the fact that I'm thankful to have a job, and I'm thankful that it's teaching . . . because it allows me to have the opportunity to spend time with my amazing first son and prepare for the new addition to our family . . . that will be here in 3 weeks . . . or less!!!

Today was our second day to get to have the whole day together - just us - since our "snow days!" It has been wonderful! We're really enjoying being able to have this time together and spend some of it OUTDOORS!!!
We even cleaned up the garage to be able to play - without the wind blowing us over. I decided to sweep all the leaves and dog hair out . . . and, of course, my little man wanted to help!!! What a good sport!

Then, we tried to see what other things there were to play with in the garage . . .
our John Deere bucket:

and our new tricycle from Glenda!:

Not to mention, we got to go to Grandma and Pops the weekend before and try out the trampoline for the first time since being able to walk/run!!! Augie REALLY loved it - and kept his balance like a CHAMP!!!

Daddy-O made sure he didn't run off the sides!

And Momba got to bounce with bubby - and the littler bubby in my tum as well! It was actually fun - and didn't send me into labor - so I guess we'll KEEP SMILING!!!

And we'll continue to play outside!!! Probably for the rest of the week! Tomorrow for sure - and we'll definitely be capturing a lot more fun pictures to share with everyone!!!

Until next time - We hope everyone is enjoying some sunshine and Spring weather!

A Real Mommy Minute

Well, A "REAL" mommy minute came at 5:05 this morning - when my internal alarm clock woke me up and my little man inside of me said he was hungry! I couldn't sleep any longer! So, here I am, me and little Tony, with Daddy and big brother sound asleep in their warm, cozy beds.
NO - I'M NOT COMPLAINING!!!
It's actually a welcomed start to the day. It has given me a chance to do a couple things for myself and just breathe - no thinking required!!!!

So, time to do some catching up!
February is almost over and I haven't put up any of our fun Valentine's pics. It was such a great weekend too. We had a lot of family time - and the weather was nice. We even had a chance to go to the library and take a walk at the park.

The park was a real treat. Augie is really starting to learn more and want to touch and play with animals (either from a distance - or when Mommy and Daddy are holding him of course). So we walked around the pond and let him see all of the "water birds."
The Ducks:

The Wharf Birds (drawing a blank on the actual name of these right now - seagulls? is that right?):

and the Swans (I thought this was a really cool picture - it looks like they're making a heart with their necks - really, really cool to see and capture a picture of!)

Then, there were other special moments.
Like Augie opening his present from Tia Vicky (and family). First there was the task of getting it out of the bag - Augie is really learning how to use those teeth!

Then, there's the realization that THE BAG is the real gift!

So, he tried to wear it, and put it on his head, and had SOOOOOOO much fun!

And then we tried to explain that the monkey was the toy - such a cute little gift!

And he proceeded to "give it kiss" (he likes to attack stuffed animals and bite their noses) . . .

On Monday morning, we all had to go to work - and Augie to Mrs.Rosa's. So, we dressed quickly, took some family pictures, and headed out the door.
Our "Future Hunk:"

With Daddy:

With Momba:

With the family - even Anthony is showing himself in this picture!!!

To those that we do not see every day, but are in our hearts always,
Happy Valentine's Day - and WE LOVE YOU!!!

Here we are again!

Snow Day #5!
That's right - made it back to school for Monday and Tuesday, and then we're out today (and maybe tomorrow if the roads are too bad to drive on).
It is sooooooo cold outside that Augie found a penguin to pick on. He had tons of fun too!

I have finished painting Anthony's letters for his wall - YEAH!!! I'm glad I got started on them last week, because they took longer than I thought with all of the stripes - and different colors. I think they turned out AWESOME though!!!

We've missed our Daddy-O a lot. He had to work today . . . but somehow (thanks Tia Marci) we were still able to get a picture with him! And send it to him so that he knows how much we miss him!

Augie showed me that he can blow his nose like a big boy (not really, but he tried and knew what to do with the kleenex and how to make the sounds)!

and it's only 11:00am!

Snow Day #4 - Here we are!

Who needs to change out of PJs when you stay home for 4 days in a row?!

Momba hasn't worn make-up for a few days either. I can't lie - it's been pretty nice to not have to worry about how I look. I just leave on the casual, warm clothes and go with it!!!

Gus is home today too, and he didn't change out of his PJs until it was time to go outside and check out all the fluff that was left over night - about 6" of that fluff! We could't see the street. Our yard extended straight into our neighbors - with no sign of the street in between at all.

Our own house was covered with a blanket as well - and you can't see the edge of the front landscape, the sidewalk . . . basically anything on the ground that isn't a bush was covered.

And when we walked across the street to take a picture of the house, we found the front steps!!!

And on to the back yard:
Momba took a picture of the rose covered in snow:
Only in Texas - our plants think it's Spring, bloom, and then get frozen and snowed on!!!

Daddy took a picture of the top of the fence to show how much accumulation there is:

Then we, of course, took lots of fun family pictures as well:

Augie had ALL of his warm weather gear on - a little hard to move, but workable!

He and Daddy were READY TO GO!!!

Or so we thought, until Gus thought that Augie could walk in 6" of snow . . . and instead fell straight forward on his face in the snow. Augie wasn't real happy about that - to say the least!

But, he got up quick, we brushed him off, and he was ready to trudge the fluff - with a little assistance that is.

Momba's turn for a picture with Big Aug -

And last, but not least, we gave in and let Augie make a snow angel before going back inside the house! (Thanks for being such a good sport little man!)

I'VE NEVER SEEN A BETTER LOOKING, CUTER SNOW ANGEL!!!

And a few MINUTES after our outdoor fun started, the boots were back on the mat, and the StaatsPac was back in the house and ready to take it easy!!!
